A private prayer journal on your iPhone

Avela's prayer journal is a private place to write what you are praying for, add updates as things change, and mark prayers as answered. Entries stay on your iPhone, and if you turn on sync they are encrypted on the device first, so nobody else can read them.

What you can do

Write a prayer in your own words, or start from a prayer taken from Scripture.
Keep each request as "Praying" or "Answered".
Add updates to a request over weeks or months.
Look back on a list of what God has done.
Send a copy of a request to one of your Prayer Circles when you want others to pray with you. Nothing is shared unless you choose to.

Why keep a prayer journal

Writing a prayer down slows you down enough to say what you mean. It also gives you a record. Months later, a list of answered prayers is one of the most encouraging things to read, and it is easy to forget them without one.

If you prefer paper, a notebook works too: write the date, the request, and leave space underneath for updates and the answer. Avela simply keeps that structure for you on the phone you already carry.
